About
My Story:
I'm Eric, my career ambitions began with an undeniable realization back in early 2022: I was compelled to pursue a career in software engineering. Recognizing the commitment required, I vowed to dedicate a portion of each day to honing my skills, not letting up even for holidays, weekends, and major life events. What some might deem as extreme, I've turned into an invigorating daily habit fueled by a strong thirst for knowledge and competency. One other important step was receiving a formal education through the Rithm’s School’s Springboard Software Engineering Bootcamp. I completed it over the course of a year while working my full-time job as an environmental engineer. This dedication has expanded to other aspects of my work and career. I continue to receive accolades from my managers who appreciate my positivity, reliability, and ability to foster trust and rapport in every professional interaction. Beyond securing a software position, my goal is continual growth and improvement. With my background in environmental & earth science, my journey into software engineering was initially sparked by the satisfaction of building software in R during my time in grad school. Now, armed with a rich background of software related education as well as significant self-teaching, I bring a unique blend of problem solving abilities and a strong work ethic to the table. My journey is not just about securing a job; it's about pushing boundaries, constantly evolving, and adding value technically and socially to any organization fortunate enough to have me. So, allow me to bring my passion, dedication, and diverse skillset to your company, where I'm poised to make a meaningful impact as a software engineer.
